Kelly and Harrison are getting married on September 25, 2010 and we are doing both the still and motion photography at their wedding! To warm up a bit before the big day, we hit Stanford University for an engagement session.
Since I did not have the chance to meet Harrison when I met Kelly, this was a great opportunity to get to know the groom and see what angles, lighting, and poses worked best for them. I find these shoots most helpful and they only take about an hour.
We did a couple outfit changes and tried out a variety of poses. Best of all, the shoot allowed me to talk to my bride and groom to get to know them better. I did not even realize Harrison basically grew up down the street from me and went to all the same schools as I did. Small world indeed!
We had a lot of fun and I cannot wait for their big day. Here are a few from our shoot! Enjoy!

Isn’t it true that love starts with a glance?
Being held in his arms makes everything okay.
Perfect relaxed portrait.
This is a fun low angle shot. I liked the trees in the background.
Beautiful view at the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco
Sometimes the woman takes control…
Sometimes the man leads the way….
Capturing the moment is my ultimate goal. This is the stuff you can’t stage!
Wonderful smile
