Baby Alessandra

“What a friggen cute baby”! That’s what I said out loud when I saw baby Alessandra. She is four and a half months old and is the baby of my past wedding clients, Carole and Joey. She is so adorable and was so fun to photograph. She made the best expressions and didn’t even cry once. I can tell this little one is going to be very strong. She is going to start crawling and talking any day now.

Can’t wait to photograph her again! Enjoy some of our favorites.

Charnella Studio Shoot

Here are some photos of my friend Charnella. She came over the other to update her portfolio since she is a Jazz dancer and needed some new shots. I was so happy to hear that she had a role in Circus du Soleil’s LOVE Show in Las Vegas.

This is what we came up with pretty quickly. I love to reconnect with old friends through my photography. It keeps me creative and learning! Thanks Charnella for a great shoot! Hope to see you on the big stage again soon!

Introduction to My Recent “Film M’bemba Fakoli – A Musical Journey Through Guinea, West Africa”

My two greatest passions in life are photography and drumming. That is why I feel so blessed to be able to combine the two b y maing films in West Africa, where I have been intensely studying the drumming for nine years.

In January of 2008 I was commisioned to make a performance DVD of some of the greatest musicians from Guinea, West Africa, including Bolokada Conde, Fadouba Oulare, Lansee Kante, Koumbagna Conde, and many more. We filmed in many villages in towns over the course of a month using 3 high definition cameras and a high end audio recorder.

The editing took almost a year due to having such a busy wedding schedule in 2o08 but the DVD is now complete and for sale at many retail outlets through the country. The name of the film is “M’bemba Fakoli: A Musical Journey Through Guinea, West Africa” and you can view the introduction to the DVD here.
