Jessica and Ted | Wedding at Elliston Vineyards, Sunol

Jessica and Ted were married on July 17, 2010. It was an amazing party at a new location for me, Elliston Vineyards in Sunol, CA. The weather and sunshine was perfect. Jessica and Ted were excited and ready for an unforgettable evening and danced the night away after eating their running shoe cake, fitting for such an athletic couple!

What better to start the day, than to have lunch and beers down the street at the local bar, Bosco’s Bones and Brew? That’s where we could find the groom, while the brides and her bridesmaids got into their dresses at Elliston. Jessica’s mom and her friends all sang to her which I just happen to shoot video of with my 5D ;-) .

The ceremony was absolutely spectacular and we had a fun family photo shoot before heading into cocktail hour. The highlight of the night was seeing Ted and his groomsman all get into the Air Force gear from the movie, Top Gun, and see them all sing to Jessica, “You Got that Loving Feeling”. So classic and beautiful! She was surprised to say the least!

We hope you enjoy and stay tuned for the highlights video coming soon!

Leah and Brian | Wedding at Santa Clara Mission and Wente Vineyards

Leah and Brian were married on July 17, 2010 at the Santa Clara Mission and had a gorgeous reception at Wente Vineyards right after. It was a fun filled day and one of the largest bridal parties I have seen in a long time, 20 people!

We did both the still and motion imagery and are really excited for these two. They were already married but renewed their vows and got to share the experience with their beautiful daughter. What great memories these two will have of this day that they looked forward to for so long. We wish them the best and are excited to share a few of our favorites!

Sarah and John | Wedding in Los Gatos, CA

I really enjoy a good backyard wedding. Or as this one was, a front yard wedding! Sarah and John tied the knot last Saturday at John’s grandmother’s house in Los Gatos and we had a blast working with them! They were all smiles, happy, and excited that their friends and family were there to share this amazing once in a lifetime experience. Most of the family came from far and wide and there was so much love in the air you could taste it!

We did both the Photo + Cinema and here are just a few of our favorites from the day!

Kaya and Josh | Wedding in Mendocino, CA

Kaya and Josh got married on June 5, 2010 in Philo, California at the WellSpring Renewal Center. I can’t begin to tell you how cool this place is! There are rustic cabins and canvas tents for guests to stay in, but there is also a building for the reception dancing. The best part is the ultra clean and refreshing Navarro River that is right down the hill. The swimming holes were perfect and we went swimming for a couple hours the next day. Not a bad way to spend the weekend I must say! Before heading home we went down the street where there is a redwood forest (Hendywoods) and tons of Apple Orchards where you can get fresh Apple Cider right from the farmers. This is what I love about California. There are parts that feel like you have traveled either back in time or to some other state far in the middle of the country.

Kaya and Josh are amazing and very inspiring to me. They both are super active people and do lots of biking, hiking, and adventure sports that most people would not even dare to do! I had heard Josh was into Paragliding, which is sort of like hang gliding, but I did not know he was a three time world champion hang glider. Turns out, some of the best paragliders in the world were at this wedding and yes, they do consider themselves “pilots”! How awesome it must be to fly around, controlling your height, speed, and all for hours on end. You can even travel hundreds of miles, something I heard Josh has done before. This is something I would definitely like to try one day and I am glad I got to learn a little bit more about it through photographing their wedding.

What is most special to me is being part of an event like this where we get to stay with the other guests and have a little R&R while doing what is a “job” but does not really feel like one to me. I am so thankful for all these great experiences and to share this fabulous event with this thrill seeking couple!
