Nupur and Tanmai | Engagement Shoot, San Francisco

What a wonderful experience it is to work with energetic, fun, and warm hearted people. Really makes me feel like I have the best job in the world! Nupur and Tanmai are one of those amazing couples that we are really excited to be working with. Just a few months ago we did the photography and videography for Nupur’s twin sister, Nidhi. We really had a wonderful time working with their families and the video and albums came out spectacular! It was a thrill and honor to be invited to make a film and do the photography for Nupur’s wedding this summer at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla. For their engagement shoot we met up at Legion of Honor in San Francisco before heading over to Baker Beach, where we brought some studio lighting down right to the water’s edge. Here are some of the couple’s favorites. Enjoy!

Manisha and Viv’s San Francisco Engagement Session

It was the day before Valentine’s Day, a picture perfect day in San Francisco. I met up with Manisha and Viv at the famous, Palace of Fine Arts and within a minute or so just started shooting away. Before I knew it an hour and a half had passed! That’s when you know it’s a great shoot because it just flows, feels natural, and is a ton of fun. These two are awesome. Smart, funny, and extremely nice! That’s the best way to describe them. I am really looking forward to doing both the photography and filmmaking on their wedding in May 2o10. Here are some of our favorites. We love comments so please drop us a line and tell us what you think!

Isn’t it true that love starts with a glance?

Being held in his arms makes everything okay.

Perfect relaxed portrait.

This is a fun low angle shot. I liked the trees in the background.

Beautiful view at the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco

Sometimes the woman takes control…

Sometimes the man leads the way….

Capturing the moment is my ultimate goal. This is the stuff you can’t stage!

Wonderful smile

Indian Wedding Album

Spectacular color. high quality materials, and storytelling layout. That is what our custom designed storybook albums are about. They are not your typical wedding albums. These hand crafted books start with the couple choosing the best photographs from throughout their day, then each photo is layed out to tell the complete story of your wedding day. Once we have an agreed upon layout, each photo undergoes fine tuning and retouching in PhotoShop, with additional editing making each and every photo perfect. Once the order is placed, these books take about six weeks to print and companion parent albums complete the photographic package.

Notice that this stunning 12×12 Italian leather book features true photographic paper, lay flat binding with no gutter, and thick pages that give the viewer a very substantial feeling of quality and timelessness. The accompanying 8×8 Parent book includes the same true photographic paper, lay flat binding, and exact design as the main album. These additional books come at a very economical price, making them suitable for most album budgets. We are so pleased with this album, we just had to show you more than a couple photos of it before we delivered it to the lucky couple!

Introducing Baby Gavin

What an honor it is to be chosen by a couple to photograph their wedding day. But almost even better is being invited over to their house a week after they have given birth to their first child to capture their first ever professional photo. I was excited to hear Melissa and Al were going to have a baby shortly after our engagement shoot we did last Spring. You could not even tell Melissa was pregnant during the wedding and their picture perfect wedding in Santa Cruz was a very fun event. Only 7 months later after they were married, this little guy was introduced to the world and Melissa and Al have named him Gavin. He was born a little early and was just a few ounces over five pounds, but he quickly gained some weight and will never be this small again. It is so important to capture a baby’s first portrait within the first two weeks of being born, as during this time they are peaceful and sleep a lot! It is during this time, they will only look this small and fragile, and soon they will gain lots of weight, mature, and take on a new form….One that has lots of photographic opportunities too, but something is very special about this first week of life. Here are some of my favorites from my visit and I hope you enjoy!
